Course Description
This is a basic substance use recovery course designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of the counselor that will be working with offenders that have substance use needs. The training utilizes cognitive-behavioral based curriculum to advance the skills in substance miss use. This is a 4 day initial training.
Prerequisites
Students must complete Initial Correctional Counselor Training prior to attending this training.
Who Should Attend
Georgia Department of Corrections staff that will be working with offenders that have substance use needs.
Special Notes
Students will need to print material and bring it to class with them.
